It’s been a crazy few weeks of running around, work changes and apartment hunting. Things are definitely coming along, but I’ve been missing catching up with all of you! Here are just a few tidbits of my life lately.
Listening to: Sam’s Smith’s “Stay With Me” and the “Disney (Children’s)” station on Pandora. Yes, those don’t go together. No judgments!
Feeling: Happy and grateful. Some really exciting opportunities have popped up for LACB and I can’t wait to share them with you. One is thanks to my amazing blogger friend Courtney of Color Me Courtney and another is because of some amazing people on the Crossroads Trading Co. team. So so so excited!
Drinking: Onli Beverages. Their lemon watermelon flavor is my favorite! I’ve also been gulping down water like it’s going out of style. I guess that’s a good thing, right?
Reading: I finished Leandra Medine’s Man Repeller: Seeking Love, Finding Overalls and Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) about a week and a half ago. I laughed so hard I cried for about 24.6% of Mindy’s book. This quote from her book is pretty much the story of my life, “The Internet also makes it extraordinarily difficult for me to focus. One small break to look up exactly how almond milk is made, and four hours later I’m reading about the Donner Party and texting all my friends: DID YOU GUYS KNOW ABOUT THE DONNER PARTY AND HOW MESSED UP THAT WAS? TEXT ME BACK SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT!”
Watching: The latest episodes of “Deadliest Catch” and “Master Chef”. Anyone else as obsessed with crab fishing in the Bering Sea or how Gordon Ramsey says “darling” as I am?
Wanting: A California burrito. For those of you who have yet to experience the absolute perfection that is a California burrito, it’s a San Diego staple that involves carne asada, a ridiculous amount of cheese, salsa fresca and guacamole. I’m not done yet though – it’s also filled with french fries! My little sister flew in to New York this week and we had an entire conversation about how much we missed California burritos. Also, if anyone in the Bay Area wants to send me a bottle of orange sauce from La Vic’s, I’ll love you forever!
Thankful for: So many things. It’s been an exhausting week, but I’m so appreciative for all the doors that have been opening up for me and to have such a strong support system. I’m also really grateful to the amazing Joe Loper of Guerrilla Photography for taking my new headshots. I can’t wait to share them with you!
